THE WATCHMAN (poem)

THE WATCHMAN

He wears a watch upon each wrist
his left is blue
the right is red
Blue is set five minutes back
And right is five ahead

So if you ask him for the time
Then just his sleeve
And he will know
If your steps sped slightly up
Or if your pace was slowed

Not much to explain here, kinda Dr. Seussy showing of how perception can be manipulated. I actually did this two-watch trick for a while, during my fixation with the idea of control-through-complexity a la my Occam's toothbrush post. It was a conversation-starting concept, but most people would rather talk about sports and the weather. Oh well.
